Cost & Tuition Rates

We get it. Attending a university is a big financial decision for students and families. Tuition is an important piece and can vary depending on whether you’re considered “in state” (a Texas Resident), applying from outside of Texas, or depending on which academic college you’re enrolled in – just to name a few.

Students in McCombs School of Business and Cockrell School of Engineering will pay a differential tuition of $550/$1,100 (resident/non-resident) per semester, and those in College of Natural Sciences will pay a differential of $250/$500 (resident/non-resident) per semester. These differential rates are included in the advertised tuition rates for students taking 12 or more semester credit hours and will be prorated for students taking less than 12 semester credit hours.

Our Net Price Calculator provides personalized estimates of the net price (what you will actually have to pay) of attending based on your major, personal finances, housing, estimated financial aid, possible VA Education Benefits and more. By gaining a better understanding of the net price, you’ll know what to expect and you can feel more prepared to make your UT education possible.
