Get Started by Completing the FAFSA
Even if you think you’re not likely to qualify for need-based aid, it’s still a good idea to apply. Many awards are based on information from the FAFSA/TASFA.
Complete the Scholarship Interest Form
The Scholarship Interest Form must be completed to indicate your interest in UT Austin institutional scholarships. The form is available in MyStatus after you submit your application to UT Austin via the Common App or Apply Texas application forms. This must be completed by the deadline of December 8.

Deadline to Submit Scholarship Interest Form
To be in the running for scholarships offered by the Office of Financial Aid, please complete the Scholarship Interest Form. The Scholarship Interest Form is available in MyStatus after you submit your application to UT Austin. Keep in mind, qualifications for these awards vary.
Haroldson Foundation Scholarship Deadline
The Haroldson Foundation offers scholarships to Texas high school students applying to UT Austin. The award is for all four years of a students’ education.
Deadline for Texas Exes Scholarships
Our alumni association, the Texas Exes, offers a variety of scholarships for incoming students.
Priority Deadline to Submit FAFSA/TASFA
If you complete your FAFSA/TASFA by the priority deadline, you’ll receive a financial aid notification (FAN) in early spring.

The financial aid notification (FAN) will direct you to view your available awards and accept your financial aid package on CASH (Check Aid Status Here).
Awards from Colleges and Schools and Texas Exes Delivered
Awards you were eligible for based on your admissions application will be delivered from the college or school you were admitted to as well as most awards from the Texas Exes Alumni Association application.
