Alternative Pathways to Enrollment

While our freshman classes have limited space, we’ve created several alternative pathways to enrollment. Our alternative pathways expand the admissions options available to talented freshman who we feel would enhance the Longhorn community. We encourage you to explore your options and make the best decision for you.

Keep in mind, you cannot apply to these alternative pathways. Students are selected to participate in one of the below programs after they have applied to UT Austin.

Coordinated Admission Program

Spend your first year of college at another UT System university. After completing all requirements, you can transfer to UT Austin to complete your undergraduate studies in the College of Liberal Arts.

Path to Admission through Co-Enrollment

Spend your freshman year on the Forty Acres part-time. After completing all requirements, you’ll be automatically admissible to several majors in select colleges at UT Austin.
