Applying for Scholarships & Fellowships
Scholarships can provide key funding for your undergraduate education at The University of Texas at Austin.
Our scholarship database indexes many of the scholarships administered by the university and its colleges and schools. It also lists a limited number of private scholarships.
To apply for the majority of these, you should:
Complete the application
The ApplyTexas application—the same application used to apply for admission—will allow freshmen to gain automatic consideration for many scholarships. Simply complete the scholarship section.
Continuing students, transfer students who have completed the application for admission, and former students applying for readmission may apply for scholarships by completing the Continuing and Transfer Scholarship Application.
Contact your academic department
Many academic units on campus have additional scholarship application requirements that you must complete after submitting the appropriate scholarship application. There may even be scholarships offered at the departmental level not listed in the scholarship database.
Check with the college, school or department that houses the major you’re applying to in order to learn more about its particular opportunities and application procedures.
